The ever growing Pearl Jam catalogue!!
hey all,
keeping up with the PJ catalogue is quite the task these days!!! This band just keeps putting rare stuff out there that I have to keep gobbling up!!! anyway, looking for a few tunes, most likely would be bootleg material, from Pearl Jam.
"Search And Destroy" - Eddie Vedder & Mike McCready performed this Iggy cover with Ted Leo & The Pharmacists at a concert on Aug. 21, 2009.
"Drive All Night" - this Springsteen cover was performed by Eddie Vedder on his solo tour.
"Yeast Power" - also from Eddie's solo tour, this may just be an improv and not a whole song. would love to hear it tho.
"God Is In Control, Limit Yourself" - Another solo tour song from Eddie. this also may be an improv and not a full song.
thx 4 any help finding these..
PW.

Re: The ever growing Pearl Jam catalogue!!
after doing more searching about these tracks, the one i'm really interested in getting is "Search And Destroy" with the Pharmacists. "Yeast Power" and "God Is In Control" are just short little improvs where Eddie was just clowning around with the audience. They're not full songs. Also, "Drive All Night", I believe is actually "Open All Night" by Springsteen. I'm still trying to find more info on this, but I have Eddie doing "Open All Night". The website I usually check for concert setlists may have just made an error putting "Drive All Night" instead of "Open All Night".
Right now, I have 11 CD-R's of rare PJ tunes, lots of covers and some improvs. The band always seems to introduce 2 or 3 new covers on every tour and Eddie featured a ton of covers on his 2 solo tours.

Re: The ever growing Pearl Jam catalogue!!
yeah.. the new album rocks!!! it's really short for a PJ record but has a nice flow to it. I'm thinking "Unthought Known" is gonna be really good live. Can't wait till they come back to Boston so I can find out. As for the downloads, I haven't even got around to downloading them. I've checked them out and actually have some of them already. Basically, I look for the rare songs. I don't really collect their full shows as much as I used to.

Re: The ever growing Pearl Jam catalogue!!
those shows that u downloaded, did they include any cover songs that the band may have played on those dates?? i'm curious to know because, when I was checking out the downloads, I noticed that the concerts excluded any covers that the band may have played. for instance, the band closed out some of those shows with Neil Young's "Rockin' In The Free World" but that song did not show up on the songlist for those downloads.

Re: The ever growing Pearl Jam catalogue!!
your Camden show is missing "Crazy Mary" and "Baba O' Riley"
your East Rutherford show is missing "Last Kiss", "Crazy Mary" and "Leaving Here"
it's weird why they left out the covers on those "special" concert downloads. if u buy bootlegs from their website, www.pearljam.com, they include all cover songs.
the only thing I can think is that, because those downloads r free, then the original artists won't receive any royalties for playing their songs.
I actually can add a few songs that I need from PJ.
on 10/30/09 in Philly, Eddie Vedder joined opening band Bad Religion and exchanged verses with Greg Graffin on "Watch It Die".
on 10/31/09 in Philly, the band covered "Whip It" by Devo.
as I said, the catalogue keeps growing and growing!!!
